Mission Statement
At Jerviss Family Chiropractic, our mission is to educate and adjust as many
families as possible toward optimal health, through natural chiropractic
care to the glory of God.
Meet Dr. Amanda F. Jerviss,
Chiropractor
Dr. Jerviss grew up just outside of
West Liberty, Ohio and then attended Milligan College in East Tennessee
earning a four-year Bible degree with a chemistry minor. After receiving a
chiropractic education at Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic in
Spartanburg, South Carolina, Dr. Jerviss returned to West Liberty to open
her chiropractic office where she practiced for four years. In January, 2006
she opened her office in Seymour after moving to the area with her husband,
Aaron. Because her father is a chiropractor, Dr. Amanda Jerviss
understands, and has benefited from, lifetime chiropractic care. From the
time she was born through the present she has had regular chiropractic
adjustments. Chiropractic offers a much better and healthier way of life. Dr
Jerviss is passionate about chiropractic for families, because it truly is
the best way to physically help people.
Dr Jerviss is a member of the
International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and is certified in
the Webster Technique for expectant mothers.
Stop into the office to meet Dr.
Jerviss and find out how your family can benefit from chiropractic care.
Meet Shawna Huesman,
Assistant
My name is Shawna Huesman. Let me begin with
saying that I love the Lord and believe that He wants each of us to do our
best to take care of our physical bodies. We moved to Sevierville,
Tennessee in September of 2001. My husband and I have two adult children;
both are married and reside here in Tennessee.
I had back
surgery eleven years ago. I began having chronic pain issues in my neck and
shoulders about 3 years ago. I was prescribed large doses of Ibuprofen by a
specialist. Realizing this could not be my only option, nor was another
surgery; Jack and I began to look in another direction. We heard Dr. Jerviss
speak about chiropractic care on a local Christian radio program and decided
to make an appointment in July of 2009. After meeting with her, we felt
comfortable and quickly decided to start a corrective care approach to my
health issues. We knew this was God’s appointment and the answer to our
situation. I’ve learned that the pain was a result of years of having a
spine that was misaligned. Each time I came in to get my spine adjusted I
was educated on subluxation in the spine and how it affects our lives. As a
result of months of corrective care I have little or no pain and more
importantly I know my overall health has improved. My husband has his spine
adjusted on a regular schedule, too. I thank the Lord for His direction to
chiropractic care. Chiropractic improves and restores health.
Dr.
Jerviss had a position open for an assistant in February of 2011 and I
applied for that position. It has been a privilege to work in her office. I
continue to learn daily about how our body functions. Function is the key to
health – a healthy body is a body that functions. It is my goal to educate
everyone I know about the health benefits of chiropractic care.
